ROD CHARLESWORTH ... FEATURE ARTIST

Rod Charlesworth was born in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. At the beginning of his career he was highly influenced by the surrealists, and was led to his current artistic interests after discovering the impressionist works, which include an ardent enthusiasm in experimenting with colour, and the physical qualities of paint. Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven have also had a profound influence on his work.

VALERIE BUTTERS ... FEATURE ARTIST

Valérie Butters is a new artist who has burst upon the art scene in Montréal, Toronto, Ottawa and Victoria. She is fascinated by the subconscious and influenced by surrealism and expressionism and says that - as well as having studied under some prominent contemporary artists - she was inspired by the revolutionary Canadian artist, Paul-Émile Borduas.

Cameron Bird has grown up with a passion for the outdoors.  He began his career with sketching, which he continues to this day as reference for his larger studio oils.  His formal art training took place at Emily Carr College of Art and Capilano College where he studied commercial art; as well he completed studies in professional sign painting.
